The Jordan Enterprise Development Corporation (JEDCO) is a governmental organization dedicated to supporting the development of emerging businesses and small and medium-sized enterprises in Jordan. The Corporation is financially and administratively autonomous, with a board of directors that is chaired by the Minister of Industry and Trade and whose members represent an equal number of private sector and public sector stakeholders. JEDCO’s mission is to develop productive enterprises with a focus on the industrial, service and agribusiness sectors in Jordan. The Corporation offers tailored technical and financial support to selected projects, aiming to improve their competitiveness and foster their growth locally and internationally.
Jordan Exports is a national export promoting company, responsible of promoting and developing export sector in Jordan. In accordance with this, JE lead policy advocacy, develop programs, capacity building and measures for active promotion of exports. JE is carrying out promotional activities in product and supply development. Exploration of markets through organizing and participating in international trade fairs and exhibitions abroad is one of primary duty for JE.
Since the year 1962 the Amman Chamber of Industry has unflinchingly served the interests of industrialists, while offering services and programs to enhance the competitive edge of Jordanian products, locally as well as globally, by means of policies that bolster confidence in the national product, and also by improving and developing the technical, technological, managerial and marketing capabilities, while effecting connectivity between the business sector institutions and expanding the scope of opportunities for the members, and offering them world-class services, where the ultimate aim is achieving sustainable economic development anchored in an industrial economy.

Funded by USAID, BeyondCapital is an LC created through a joint partnership between Endeavor Jordan, a leading non-profit that supports high-impact entrepreneurs, & Silicon Badia, a global venture capital firm focusing on investments in the tech sector. BeyondCapital is a proactive player in the entrepreneurial and investment ecosystem with a wide network leveraged to support a portfolio of 42 companies, today. As an ecosystem enabler, BeyondCapital holds a record of expertise in connecting entrepreneurs to relevant support mechanisms, investors and networks to provide them with access to capital, mentorship, talent and potential partnerships.
The Simest Spa is a company of the Cassa Depositi e Prestiti Group that has supported the growth of Italian companies since 1991 through the internationalization of their business. Shareholders are SACE, which holds 76%, and a large group of Italian banks and business associations. It supports the company throughout the cycle of expansion abroad, from the initial evaluation of opening in a new market, to expansion through direct investments. It operates through financing for internationalization, support for export credit and participation in company capital.
Business Schools and Universities
Bologna Business School is an international community made up of ideas, people, networks and projects. BBS is the Business School of the University of Bologna, the oldest University in Europe. The Business School cooperates with industry-leading companies, providing high quality and tailor-made programs for entrepreneurs. Collaboration with BBS will entail partnership with Jordanian university including knowledge transfer and provision of E-learning training modules for entrepreneurs.
Innovation Hubs and Incubation Programs
Bridge for Billions is a digital ecosystem of programs for early-stage entrepreneurs. In collaboration with Bridge for Billions, UNIDO developed IDEA App, the virtual incubation platform that provides tailored-made localized business developed modules comprising steps by step interactive learning -by- doing methods. The platform serves to connect young entrepreneurs with national and international mentors to accelerate growth of new entrepreneurship communities and foster an entrepreneurial culture. This web-based service seeks to provide highly structured and qualitative digital mentoring and incubation experience through all-in-one access to one-to-one mentoring, a step-by-step incubation methodology with key definitions, business cases, and data visualizations. Deployment of IDEA App in collaboration with Bridge for Billions is expected in Gate 3 of the LevelUp Accelerator program.
Seedstars is a Swiss-based private company with a mission to impact people’s lives in emerging markets through technology and entrepreneurship. The group’s activities cover over 90 emerging ecosystems through a variety of initiatives such as the FTxSDG Challenge, previously known as the Seedstars World Competition, which is the largest entrepreneurship competition in emerging markets; Seedstars Programs that are designed to support entrepreneurs in varying stages of growth via training, education, mentoring, and access to resources; Seedstars 01, a talent incubator providing digital skills and startup-based immersive education for the next generation of changemakers; Seedspace, physical coworking spaces and hubs located in 15 countries; and Seedstars International, a global venture capital fund for seed stage startups
H-Farm is an innovative Campus that combines business services and education. It is a unique innovation hub where technological innovations and digital transformation are combined to attract talent and to foster the entrepreneurial ecosystem. Through the partnership signed with Ca’Foscari University and H-Farm supported the creation of new business models as well as the transformation of businesses into the digital era. Together they have launched in 2017, a new Bachelor’s Degree programme in Digital Management, taught entirely in English, to shape professionals of digital economy. H-Farm is foreseen to act as a factory hub for digital transformation of businesses and provide E-learning modules for entrepreneurs.
Queen Rania Center for Entrepreneurship (QRCE) is a Non-Profit organization established in 2004 to help develop Technology Entrepreneurship in Jordan. Over the last 15 years, the center has organized many activities that benefited thousands of entrepreneurs, professionals, & students in Jordan, and helped to put some successful Jordanian start-ups on the track of innovation and achievement. The Center is part of Princess Sumaya University for Technology and plays the role of a national Center of Excellence for Entrepreneurship. Collaboration with QRCE is foreseen in the organization of boot camps, networking events, workshops and mentoring sessions.
ChangeLabs builds the MENA’s leading virtual learning programs, accelerators, incubators, hackathons, and workshops leveraging experts and global mentors. The programs are SDG-aligned and help entrepreneurs launch and scale up their businesses while developing new skills. Collaboration with changelabs is foreseen in organizing boot camps, networking events, delivering master classes and virtual learning courses.
Shamal Start was established by Luminus Education and funded by the European Union, Luminus ShamalStart launched in 2016 to provide makers, innovators and entrepreneurs in Jordan – with focus on the northern regions – with a comprehensive ecosystem that facilitates transforming their progressive ideas into actual projects that can best serve their local communities. Incepted in partnership with The Royal Scientific Society – iPARK, Luminus ShamalStart is inspired by and named after the north of Jordan. Partnership with Shamal Start will include organization of boot camps and networking events.
NGOs and Foundations
BPWA Jordan is a dynamic, innovative, member-based organization and a business association of dedicated female professionals established in 2003 by a number of professional and pioneering women in Jordan. The Association support Jordan’s vision of a stronger economy through increased participation by women in business and the workforce by providing Jordanian women with a pathway to business and career success. The foreseen partnership with BPWA will include organization of masterclasses and support in coordination/management of virtual incubation platform as well as mentoring for entrepreneurs.
